We work with pre-licensed and fully licensed professionals who would like to start their own Private Practice. - LMFT / AMFT/ Marriage & Family Intern - LCSW / ACSW/ Social Worker Intern - LPC / APCC / PCCI/ Professional Clinical Counselor Intern
At FCCS, we understand that we don't own clients. When you complete your hours and leave the FCCS "nest," you have every right and responsibility to take your clients with you. This is in the best interest of your clients who have developed a healing, therapeutic relationship with you.
When you are hired as a Licensed or Pre-licensed Therapist (in any of our Online Therapist or Office and Community-Based Therapist positions), you are assisted in creating your own future Private Practice.
This is unusual. Why does FCCS do this? - Because we're cool like that. - Because we believe that it is better to give / share/ be generous with our time and resources (than to live by the opposite mentality). - Because we wish we were treated like this as new therapists (and some of us were!). - Because we know that continuity of care is critical to the success of the clients we serve. - Because we know the ethics of our profession. There is a special relationship between therapist and client that should not be disrupted due to business goals. - And, because we know the law. Agencies and organizations do. not. own. clients.
How does FCCS help Therapists start their future Private Practice? - We have the mindset that you are your own person who has every right and privilege to grow your own successful practice. - We assist you in developing and fine tuning your clinical skills to help you rock your therapeutic confidence. - We help you build your clientele ('case load') so that you have a sustainable income as you transition out independently. - We offer the safe space to explore the "scary" process of going out on your own. (You know, that whole "be in business for yourself, but not by yourself" attitude.) - We offer insight on the 'behind the scenes' (ahem) drama of insurance paneling, billing, electronic claims submission, denials and appeals. (All that 'junk' you don't get in grad school or traditional supervision settings.) - We take the overwhelming big picture of getting started and break it down into smaller chunks. - We provide training and review of effective marketing strategies to promote your image and to "sell" your therapeutic results. (You found us, didn't you?) - We provide you with all of the start up paperwork and basic know-how so you don't feel like a floundering, flopping fish out of water.
Is this Clinical Supervision? No. This is not Clinical Supervision. This is simply a benefit of working for FCCS.
If you are in need of Clinical Supervision for your hours toward full licensure, you will need to review your State licensing board's qualifications regarding supervision.
