Karen Alexander

Therapist Trainee

Family & Children’s Counseling Services is happy to welcome Karen Alexander as a Therapist Trainee!
 
Karen is currently enrolled in the Clinical Psychology program at Pepperdine University. She plans to apply for dual licensure after graduating in June 2024 and possibly pursue a doctoral degree in the future.

Karen has experience working in a variety of mental health settings and is passionate about improving access to high-quality mental health care. She regularly integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills into her therapeutic work.

In her free time, Karen enjoys hiking, spending time with her Goldendoodle, and volunteering at the local animal shelter.  

Karen will be gaining her client contact hours seeing clients in her community as well as via telehealth throughout California. She is under the clinical supervision of Melinda Haynes, MA, LMFT 102308.
