Family & Children’s Counseling Services is happy to welcome Ali Turetzky as a Therapist Trainee!
Ali holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina, outside of but related to mental healthcare, where she studied communications, dance & movement, and women & gender studies. She is completing the final year of a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy at Syracuse University and plans to become a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Perinatal Mental Health Therapist (PMH-C) in California upon her graduation in August 2024.
Ali is passionate about working with couples with young kids - specifically, working with new parents on adjusting to parenthood, co-parenting, adoption, and more. Ali is an advocate of maternal mental health and, in addition to research she is conducting on this topic, she is a certified Postpartum Doula.
As a therapist, Ali’s style is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. She strives to create an encouraging, non-judgmental space for clients to show up as their true selves.
In her spare time, Ali can be found taking dance classes, spending time at the beach, and learning how to surf in Northern California.
Ali will spend her time gaining client contact hours toward her degree and then toward her California licensure as a Marriage & Family Therapist. She is under the clinical supervision of Melinda Haynes, MA, LMFT 102308.
Ali will provide community-based services in San Francisco and will see clients via Telehealth throughout California.
