Family Preservation is not a specific type of therapy, but rather a collection of intervention activities that help children remain with their families rather than be placed in foster care. Family Preservation services are also offered to families who are dealing with CPS involvement and/or reuniting after foster placement.
FCCS community-based interventions focus on support, guidance and training to facilitate increased parenting skills, communication, cooperation and healthy attachment to improve overall family functioning. The ultimate goal is to keep a family together.
The FCCS Family Preservation program is called EPIC. Please find out more about becoming an EPIC family here.
If you think you or someone you love would like to receive Family Preservation services, please call.
