If I knew then what I know now... and other tidbits of being an LMFT. What do new therapist need to know that will make their career launch a smooth transition?
Becoming a Therapist- Advice for Interns. Time for Crisis. Licensed Therapist talks about becoming.
My goal with the ‘Best Advice’ series is to help new therapists (LMFT, AMFT, Associates, LCSW, ASCW, LPC) with wisdom that was passed along to me and/or with wisdom I learned the good old fashioned hard way. I am still learning every day. If you have something to add to the list of things I’ve learned, please tell me!!
Shout out to: An amazing Supervisor during my internship. Wonderful clients who taught- and continue to teach me more and more every day. New therapist, leave room for the client in crisis. Including making suspected abuse reports which can end up including talking with police officers, sheriff deputies and the District Attorney.

Licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), Director & Clinical Supervisor, Melinda Haynes will discuss random topics and answer questions.
