Heal Play Love University-Mastering The Art Of Communicating With A Narcissist Without Losing Your Sanity
How to talk to a narcissist to avoid triggers.
You want to avoid triggers! But how do you speak with a Narcissist effectively? Communication with the Narcissist can be difficult. The Sandwich Technique has been used in business and communication circles for-eva.
Let's use this soft, compassionate technique on the Narcissist. Maybe not because you feel like being compassionate to the Narcissist, but because it will reduce the triggering the Narcissist does- and therefore lesson the Narcissistic rage.
This technique, for our purposes, is part of Flashlighting- successfully handling the Narcissist.
There are techniques to manage someone's Narcissistic behaviors and moods. It just takes learning, time and patience. Of course, we can't say every Narcissist will change.
Some don't. But Some DO!! The difficult part is keeping our cool. Narcissistic gaslighting, Jekyll and Hyde switching, lecturing, grandiosity and all of the other crazy-making tactics of the Narcissist can take its toll. We need to be vigilant in not owning their reality.
While I advocate for a different look at Narcissism, I do not condone abuse. If you are being abused by a Narcissist - or anyone, for that matter, get out when it is safe and seek the help of a qualified professional!
