Why I Think Going Gray Rock is Ridiculous. Going Gray Rock is basically the silent treatment, right? We have a neutral expression; we don't interact.

We are doing the exact same thing to them that they do to us. And people complain about it all the time, so I'm guessing people don't like getting the silent treatment.

It’s ;like, "Pot, meet Kettle."

And This is Why I Think Going Gray Rock is Ridiculous. Instead, we need to learn how to disengage emotionally while still interacting verbally and temporally with the difficult person in our lives.

We have to pull up our big kid pants and just do it.

Going Gray Rock and thinking, "He started it!" isn't an adult defense.
