Family & Children's Counseling Services, Inc. is excited to have Zeyda Romero on our team as a Therapist Trainee! 

Zeyda Romero is currently a counselor-in-training working towards completing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Palo Alto University. She is expected to graduate in June 2024.

Prior to her counseling journey, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English from Fresno State University. During this time, Zeyda gained valuable experience as a tutor working with children and adolescents across California. This experience helped her develop an understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of children.

Zeyda adopts a client-centered approach, prioritizing the well-being of her clients. She believes in creating a safe and supportive environment where children can freely explore their thoughts and emotions. Zeyda values the power of a solid therapeutic relationship in fostering growth and positive change.

In her free time, Zeyda enjoys drawing, singing, and playing video games. Zeyda strives to apply this same creativity and openness into her work. 

With her warm and compassionate demeanor, Zeyda is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of the children and families she works with. She finds joy in witnessing the strengths of her clients unfold, supporting their coping skills, and witnessing their personal growth.

​Zeyda will be gaining client contact hours toward her degree and future licensure while being under the clinical supervision of Melinda Haynes, MA, LMFT 102308.
