Family & Children’s Counseling Services is happy to welcome Lizvet Garcia as a Therapist Trainee!
 
Lizvet completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Nutrition and Food Science at California State University, Chico (“Chico State”) and is continuing her education at Florida Southern University.  She is on target to complete her Master’s degree in Social Work by July 2024.
 
Lizvet will spend her time at Family & Children's Counseling Services gaining client contact hours toward her degree then toward her California licensure as a Social Worker. She is under the clinical supervision of Melinda Haynes, MA, LMFT 102308 and Erica Washington, MSW, ACSW 95523.
 
Lizvet brings with her experience serving the community by volunteering serving food at Senior Centers and coaching for Girls on The Run. She strives to give each client the tools and confidence they need to overcome almost any obstacle.
  
When she's not helping others, Lizvet enjoys running and also spending time with her 3 dogs. She also relaxes by grabbing a good book to read.

Lizvet will see clients at the Chico office and throughout California via Telehealth.
