Therapist Trainee Available in person in Brentwood, Oakley, and Antioch, and throughout California online (telehealth)
Family & Children's Counseling Services is excited to welcome Jessica Alvarez as a therapist trainee!
Jessica received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2019. She is a Psychology graduate student at California Baptist University and plans to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of California once she graduates in May 2024.
Jessica’s previous work experience includes years of experience within the medical field. Once the pandemic occurred, she found a calling to shift toward the psychological and behavioral aspect of human health.
In her studies, Jessica has found a passion in seeking knowledge and techniques for our youth that promote and boost self-confidence, self-esteem, positive coping methods, and methods that shine light upon individual strengths.
Jessica loves working, serving, and giving back to the local community and finds joy in volunteering her time with local youth and outreach programs. When she is not volunteering she is busy being a sports mom and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and three children. Jessica is a devoted Christian.
Jessica will spend her time gaining client contact hours toward her degree and then toward her California licensure as a Marriage & Family Therapist. She is under the clinical supervision of Melinda Haynes, MA, LMFT 102308.
Jessica will provide community-based services, and will see clients via Telehealth throughout California.
