Gabriela Leyva

Volunteer Family Support Specialist 

Family & Children's Counseling Services, Inc. is honored to have Gabriela Leyva on our team as a Volunteer Family Support Specialist.

Gabi, who was born and raised locally, has an Associate's degree in psychology from Butte College.  She is currently working on her bachelor's degree in psychology at Chico State with an anticipated graduation date of December 2022.

From there, she plans on earning her Master of Science degree from the Marriage and Family Therapy program.

Gabi also works at an assisted living facility that specializes in residents in the mid-late stages of dementia.  She enjoys volunteering at FCCS because "Everyone is welcoming and I get to see what it is like to help children." 

Gabi will spend her time at Family & Children's Counseling Services assisting the Therapeutic and Supervised Visitation teams in providing support to the families we serve.

Gabi is a huge fan of family and chocolate ice cream.  If you see Gabi at the office, say hi!
