Family & Children’s Counseling Services is happy to welcome Deviane Von Kaenel as a Therapist Trainee!
 
Deviane is currently completing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University Worldwide. She is under the clinical supervision of Melinda Haynes, MA, LMFT 102308. 

With a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered approach, Deviane believes that healing begins when clients feel truly seen, valued, and understood for who they are. She is passionate about helping individuals of all ages develop self-confidence, build resilience, and overcome life’s challenges by recognizing their own strengths and inner resources.

Drawing from client-centered therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and strength-based approaches, Deviane works collaboratively with each client to honor their individuality and support their unique journey of growth and healing. She also integrates her background as a yoga instructor, bringing a holistic perspective to therapy that acknowledges the vital connection between body and mind. 

Outside of her practice, Deviane loves spending time outdoors and is always seeking new adventures, from sailing and camping to hiking, snowboarding, and of course, yoga. She is enthusiastic about reading and watching movies and tv shows, especially when it comes to fantasy, sci-fi, and thrillers. She also has a deep love for animals (real or stuffed) and brings warmth, humor, and curiosity into every part of her life and work.

Deviane will provide community-based services in San Diego County, and will see clients via Telehealth throughout California. ​
