Combined Parent-Child Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CPC-CBT) Combined Parent-Child Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CPC-CBT) assists at-risk families who are burdened with stress, poor coping skills and/or aggressive behaviors. Sometimes, multiple referrals have been made to, and/or abuse has been substantiated by, social services (such as DHS, CSD or CPS).
With CPC-CBT, parents learn positive parenting, effective communication, caring attachment, and behavior modification, among other skills. Parents and their children engage in some sessions together and the family is empowered toward greater emotional health and wellbeing.
